City tables putting sewer jetter truck at auction

The Stanley Common Council met Monday, Aug. 3 at 7:00 p.m. in city hall.
On the night’s agenda were several items. Among items approved in consent were meeting minutes, a time variance request by Elizabeth Henricksen for an event Aug. 22 at the Chapman Park Community Center, and approval for Adam Kuechenmesiter to attend the CIB Conference from Sept. 9 to 11 in Green Bay, at a total estimated registration cost of $205.90, with hotel for three nights estimated at $303 total.
Also approved in the consent agenda Monday were appointment of Therese Metzger and Diane Halterman as new City of Stanley election officials, removal of firefighter Josh Walters from probationary status, and reappointment of library board members Anne Diers, Lia Campbell, and James Ericksen for the term ending in 2029.
The council also accepted bi-monthly reports from the Clerk and department heads, along with accounts payable checks in the amount of $1,525.08, of which $1.206.81 was from the general fund and $318.27 was from the library budget.
In new business meanwhile the council approved a recommendation from the committee of the whole prior directing the city attorney to draft a developer’s agreement for the Cattails Crossing subdivision.
The council also approved removing parcel 281.01001.000 from the phosphorous trade agreement with the DNR and a committee of the whole recommendation on the rezoning of said parcel for the city of Stanley.
Also from Monday, the council approved updated Well 11 schedules for bid advertising, a committee of the whole recommendation to create two new bank accounts for the automatic transfers for safe drinking water and clean water debt service payments, and committee of the whole recommendation on Charter Communications Fiber Installation for the Central Water Treatment Plant.
The council approved a recommendation forwarded from committee of the whole on a lead abatement proposal pertaining to old ceiling joists not to exceed $9,000 as recommended by the library board, while opting to table two other items, one related to listing the Sewer Jetter Truck for auction and another on the extended warranty for the Central Water Plant’s New Generator, pending further information.
Last but not least, the council approved two change orders, including Change Order 10 for a credit of $3,566.31 for the Central Water Treatment Plant and Change Order 3 for $174,888.72 as recommended by the library board.
City of Stanley council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in city hall. The public is welcome to attend.
