Chippewa County announced the permanent closure of the beach at the Day Use Park at Otter Lake last week, following consultation with the DNR, Chippewa County Public Health, Otter Lake Booster Club, Chippewa County Parks Manager, and Chippewa County Parks and Facilities Director. The beach has suffered in recent years from blue green algae and other problems.
