Looking for something to do this Saturday, or just an excuse to get out?
The Stanley Sportsman’s Club is hosting its annual ice fishing contest this Saturday, Feb. 18 fro, 1-0:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Chapman Lake. With fishing, raffle prizes, plus food and refreshments there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
Along with the fishing contest categories of bluegill, crappie, perch, bass, and northern, a raffle will be held with the grand prize being $1,000 in cash.
As to the fishing contest, there are two: one for adults and another for youth. One $10 ticket puts adults in the fishing contest as well as for cash prizes, with proceeds from the annual event ultimately going back into park needs.
