The City of Stanley is getting a wetland survey, contracted with Tamarack Services LLC of Rice Lake for a 4.5 acre parcel of city-owned property near the Wolf River. The site to be surveyed lies just west and southwest of Church Street behind the Stanley Area Historical Society.
Included in the survey by Tamarack Services LLC are research of all pertinent maps and aerial photos prior to visiting the site, an agricultural aerial review via map to assess wetland hydrology, and site visit to identify wetland boundaries as specified in the 1987 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and Regional Supplement.
Included in project outcomes will be a wetland delineation report provided in electronic format, complete with a summary of findings from the wetland study including wetland communities on site. Also included will be a description of the method to identify wetland, description of existing environmental conditions, description of problems encountered during field study, all relevant topographical maps as well as a USDA Soil Survey Map and Wisconsin Wetland Inventory map. The final report will include copies of completed wetland and upland field data sheets, copies of site photographs, maps showing the location of sample site and photos locations for the study, a map showing locations of identified wetland boundaries, supporting information, an antecedent precipitation evaluation for the three months prior, showing whether area conditions are within normal, wetter than normal, or drier than normal.
Costs for the approved survey are to be based on a lump sum not to exceed cots, totaling $3,900.
