Couple seeks others to help establish Stanley Community Association

The following letter was received from Lance and Kristi Weiland regarding a prospective Stanley Community Association Dear Community Members, We are delighted to announce an exciting new opportunity for

anyone interested in being part of the enhancement of Stanley.

Being part of a small town, we all have a vested interest in the

story it tells. We have much to be thankful for here, but believe

that with common goals and additional community involvement,

we can bring so much more to the city that would directly benefit everyone.

We are in the infancy stages of assembling a group of

forward-thinking individuals that share a basic goal of making

improvements within our community, while helping provide

additional opportunities for those of all abilities. We are excited

about the prospect of combining a conglomeration of different ideas, thoughts, life experiences, and a common vision to

maximize our impact within this community.

The official name of the group that we are working on creating is the Stanley Community Association (SCA). The main objective of this 501(c)(3) non-profit group will be to raise money that will be used for a wide array of community

enhancement projects. We would like fundraising events to be fun, affordable, and family-orientated. Details on fundraising

events and improvement/enhancement projects within our community are yet to be determined, and this is where your help

will come into play. We are looking to hear from anyone that has interest in being part of this community organization. Please don't let your perceived lack of availability dissuade you from consideration in joining this movement. Any amount of time or input that you or your family would be able to contribute would be a huge asset

and will help get this association off the ground. The impact of this group can be far reaching, but it will inevitably take people with a common goal of continuing to progress the community. We believe this organization could help set a new tone within our community and help address shortfalls that may otherwise not be able to be addressed due to city budgetary constraints and limitations.

Some community enhancements projects that this group could help make a reality might consist of such things as new playground equipment at Chapman Park, development of a splash pad, hanging floral arrangements for the downtown area, additional fishing docks for Chapman Lake, creation of a dog park, etc. The ideas for our community are truly endless and we can't wait to hear your thoughts!

At this time, we are simply searching for anyone who has

interest in helping in some aspect and asking for you to reach out

so that you can be included in future emails as the development

of this association begins to take place. If you are interested in

being part of this community-changing group, please email us at

[email protected] Thank you! Sincerely,

Kristi and Lance Weiland
