Stanley-Boyd middle school student Kennedy Witt shines as the Stanley-Boyd Athlete of the Week for her hard work and incredible growth in archery. Witt’s journey with archery began when she joined the team as a 5th grader during the national trip as a sibling, where she quickly discovered her passion for the sport. She had so much fun that, when the opportunity arose, she joined the team as a 6th grader—and she hasn’t looked back since.

Coach Brandy Pecha speaks highly of Witt’s commitment and attitude. “Kennedy shows up to practice, asks questions to improve her score every week, and works hard. Kennedy has a positive demeanor and is polite to those that are around her,” Pecha said.

Witt’s growth has been nothing short of remarkable. Since the beginning of the season, she has improved her score by over 60 points—a testament to her dedication and hard work. Beyond her athleticism, Kennedy has also developed increased confidence, not only in archery but with her teammates and peers. Her polite nature and positive attitude have made her a valued member of the team.

"We couldn’t be more proud of her and the growth she has had throughout the season!” said Pecha.

Witt is a shining example of what hard work, a positive attitude, and determination can achieve. As she continues to grow and excel, Witt remains an inspiration to her teammates and is a shining example of what it means to be a dedicated athlete. Congratulations to Kennedy Witt on being named this week’s Stanley-Boyd Athlete of the Week!
