Owen-Withee Sentinel & Rural News
Courtesy Auto and Truck Sales of Thorp has seen big changes in the past year. It started last April when David Kluth, Scott Eisold, and Dan Schultze purchased Courtesy Auto and Truck Sales of Thorp. To allow for more growth in the business, the three gentlemen bought the former Shopko building just east of Stanley. And room they shall have as the new Stanley property has 35,000 square feet compared to the current buildings 13,000 square feet.
“We will be expanding from eight service bays to 20 service bays; going to have a commercial vehicle sales department, including plows, flat beds, box trucks, and trailers; quick lube bay; drive through service department – gets the customer out of the winter elements.” Co-owner Dave Kluth reported.
The plan is also to have a showroom, car shop, large truck shop, a ‘service drive,’ and twelve mechanic work stalls equipped with car lifts of a 10,000 lb. limit, along with five flat stalls for custom mechanics. Adding new parking sections are in the future as well as large digital reader board.
Progress on Courtesy’s spacious new building can be seen from Hwy 29 and is expected to open the end of February 2021. Keep an eye out for all the exciting changes to Courtesy Truck and Auto. It is wonderful to see local businesses expand and grow.
