Stanley-Boyd senior Jackson Gindt has been named the Stanley-Boyd Athlete of the Week for his outstanding performance on the baseball field and the leadership he brings to the Orioles Baseball team.
Gindt's baseball journey began at the age of four, and over the years, he's become not only a talented athlete but also a true team leader. One of his favorite memories comes from his early playing days. "My favorite baseball memory was winning the Greenwood Tournament with my boys when we were younger," he recalled, a moment that clearly set the tone for the strong team bonds he continues to value today.
That camaraderie remains one of his favorite parts of the game. "My favorite part about playing baseball is taking the field with my boys," Gindt said, explaining what motivates him every time he steps out to play.
Gindt’s contributions to the Orioles have gone far beyond statistics. According to Head Coach Ryan Sturm, “He’s a super positive young man who I considered the best center fielder in the conference. He was the heart and soul of our team with his positive attitude and a great work ethic. Stanley-Boyd will miss his leadership and his athletic skill.”
Next year, Gindt will take his talents to the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, where he will continue his baseball career while majoring in Business Administration.
Congratulations to Jackson Gindt-the Stanley-Boyd Athlete of the Week and a shining example of leadership, dedication, and sportsmanship.
