Stanley-Boyd freshman Hunter Ogle is making his mark on the cross-country course this fall. Ogle turned in a breakout performance at the Thorp Invitational on October 9, clocking a personal-best time of 19:18 in the 5K — an improvement of more than a full minute from his previous best.
According to head coach Nick Mahr, Ogle showed the “best gain on the cross-country team this week”, demonstrating his potential as one of the conference’s rising young runners. His 19:18 finish ranks among the fastest times by a freshman in the conference this season.
With steady improvement and a drive to keep pushing his limits, Hunter Ogle is proving to be a key contributor for the Orioles. His progress is a testament to what can happen when talent meets hard work — and his journey is just getting started.
