A crash south of Thorp on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 9:01 a.m. has resulted in injury and vehicle damage, but no fatalities. Clark County responded to the scene, with further details contained in the official crash report.
The crash Sept. 10 on County Highway M at Liberty Drive took place after a white 2010 Mercedes Benz Sedan E traveling eastbound and driven by 21-year-ld Adan Yahir Villa Herrera of Chippewa Falls, failed to see and yield right of way to a blue 2000 Buick Century, traveling southbound on County M and driven by 74-year-old Alvin Rissler Martin of Athens.
The crash resulted in Martin receiving suspected minor injury, with both vehicles towed from the scene for disabling damage. The curtain airbag was deployed by Herrera’s vehicle, while Martin’s vehicle did not deploy airbags. Seat belts were used by both Martin and Herrera, the road condition being dry with the sky cloudy, and alcohol not a factor in the crash. Listed environmental factors include visual obstructions.
Neither driver received a citation in the accident.
