The Stanley Community Association and Martino's Restaurant are pleased to announce our newest High Five Award winners. Dave and Pat Jankoski are a “dynamic duo” serving the people of Stanley and surrounding communities for decades. Both are active in the administration and events of the Stanley Area Historical Society since its foundation; the Stanley Lions service events including vision screening for Stanley-Boyd kindergarten children; the Stanley Business Association and All Saints Parish delivering weekly bulletins to shut-ins among other volunteer activities; and have recently started volunteering with the Stanley Community Association. Dave served as Stanley mayor and on several council committees. He has been an integral member of the capital campaign for the D. R. Moon Memorial Library Expansion and Restoration Project serving as honorary co-chair. The Jankoski Foundation supports summer programming at the Library with a generous gift. Pat taught first grade for many years in the Stanley-Boyd School District at the Boyd Elementary School, bringing a positive influence for many children. We thank them for using their gifts and talents to serve our community.
If you would like to nominate someone for a High Five Award, please email sca54768@gmail.com with the information. Honorees get a $10 Martino's gift card and can decide if they want to be publicly acknowledged or not.
