Dean T. Lauer, 74, of Stanley, passed away at his home on June 21, 2025.
Dean was born on December 30, 1950, at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley to George Sr. and Anna (Scharenbrock) Lauer. A lifelong resident of Stanley, Dean took over the family homestead and farmed for many years, a role in which he took great pride. After farming, he worked at Blue Moon/Saputo Cheese and later at Kerry Ingredients, where he remained until his retirement.
Dean is survived by his children: Nick (Adam) of Green Bay; Kyle (Michelle); and Chelsi (Amanda) Lauer, both of Cadott. He was a proud grandfather to Christopher (CJ), Zendaya, Sheamus, Everly, Melony, Harper, and Connor.
He is also survived by his siblings: Melvin (Mary) Lauer of Mokena, IL; Yvonne (Gene) Cesik of Stanley; Diane (Edward) Koltis of Thorp; and Victor (Dianne) Lauer of Chippewa Falls; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Anna Lauer; his brother George Jr. and sister-in-law Beatrice; sister Janet Ciolkosz; and granddaughter Gracie Marie.
The family will honor Dean’s life with a Celebration of Life on July 19, 2025 at the Boyd American Legion Hall Post-0326 from 1pm to 5pm.
