The Stanley Lions Club is again collecting deer hides. They are joining with Lions Clubs across the state of Wisconsin in this project that is a fundraiser for Lions Camp Rosholt. A collection basket for deer hunters wanting to donate their hides to a good cause can again be found at Express Mart in Stanley. Wisconsin Lions collecting hides began back in 1987. The Lions Camp that benefits from your hide donation serves kids and adults with sight, hearing, and cognitive disabilities and kids with juvenile diabetes. Camp Rosholt began in 1956 and is dedicated to providing a quality camping experience for people with disabilities. Stanley area hunters, last year donated 352 hides to this worthy cause and the local Lions are hoping for even more support this year. Residents from the Stanley-Boyd School District have attended Camp Rosholt in past years. The Lions thank you in advance for your support and also wish to thank Express Mart for being the local collection site and Inge Meats for the hides received through them. Good luck hunters and be safe.
