If you live in Edson, Taft or Roosevelt and aren’t happy with your tax bill, there’s not a moment to lose—if there’s still time that is! With the April 29 paper out this Tuesday April 27 on newsstands, the Boards of Review for Edson, Taft and Roosevelt townships will be meeting shortly to hold tax assessment hearings. Other townships in the area are set to do likewise.
As to the immediate present, the Board of Review for the Town of Edson will be meeting April 29 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the town hall, with 48 hours written notice generally required to appear as such.
For those seeking dust control in Thorp township, the window of opportunity is also closing fast, with the need to call town clerk Arlene Kodl by April 30 and a charge of $130 for 300-foot increments.
As to the Edson town hall location, it’s just east of the intersection of County D with MM, on the south side of the road.
For the Town of Taft, meanwhile, the Board of Review will meet April 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the town hall, located at W16018 County Rd. F, intersection with Meridean Drive.
For those in the Township of Roosevelt, meanwhile, the assessment books will be open for review on April 29 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the town hall located just south of County F on West Street, in Lublin. The Roosevelt Board of Review meeting, meanwhile, will be held Thursday

Posted by Boyd-Edson-Delmar Fire Board Secretary Ron Patten at Delmar on April 20 is the news of a quarterly meeting to be held April 28, at which was discussed (among other things) the “Rates and Subsidies for the Fire Department.” Listed above this notice is another one for the Delmar Board of Review meeting May 3, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., with the Delmar town hall located on 115th Avenue between Highways G and D, north of the Village of Boyd.
Up at Colburn, meanwhile, is the news that the Board of Review will hold its first meeting of the year on May 4 from 7:00 p.m. at the town hall, located just south of the Huron bar on Highway S. Instructions for what Colburn town residents need to do if they wish to appear are posted at the town hall as well.
Over Taylor County way at Taft, is notice of a Taylor County Appliances and Electronics Collection event Saturday May 1 at the Gilman High School Parking Lot from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., while at Worden the Board of Review will hold its first meeting May 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., down at the town hall at the intersection of Koser Avenue and Eddy Road.
For residents of the Town of Butlerin Clark County, the books will be open May 1 form 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. at Capital Street and Dickerson Avenue.
Finally, for Wilson residents, the annual Open Book opportunity will be May 4 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the town hall just across from Boondocks bar, corner of G and MM. The Wilson Board of Review, meanwhile, will be May 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., also located at the town hall.
