FROM PAGE 3 township’s voting population, or 72 out of 381 registered electors. Of these, thirteen were absentee votes.

As to contested races, Art Stolp won outgoing Supervisor Ed Kosik’s seat in Worden with 54 votes to 34 for Jeff Gadke. For Taft, it was a win for incumbency, with Jerry Czubakowski besting Melvin Lorenz with a 12 vote margin to win another term as Supervisor, while Kevin Knox lost to Del Kroeplin by a margin of 11, having run in part to give voters a choice. As for Edson, the vote was for incumbent Don Schesel over challenger Gery Steinmetz by a 29 vote margin of 82 to 53. For the Supervisor 2 seat in Edson, incumbent Michael Sande won out with 103 votes to 30 for challenger Lori Klonowski- Cooley, no other races being contested in Edson.

Further north the Ford town board was returned without opposition, there being no candidate registered for Clerk, with some townships appointing these. As for Gilman, the only race of note was that of Mark Person, the others going to incumbents. Darrell Thompson was elected to the Gilman School Board, with the name ‘Darrell Thompson also that of the Taft town board chairperson.

As to the near east, a referendum set before Lublin voters passed by a vote of 40 in favor to 15 against. The referendum in question would have the clerk and treasurer positions appointed, a move also approved last year by Aurora township with the posts in question highly technical and time consuming, as a partial explanation.

As to the local Stanley-Body School Board, Chad Verbeten won another three-year term to rep-resent Area One, garnering 397 votes total to 138 for Lori Klonowski-Cooley, with four addi- tional write-in votes.

Randy Madlon won out over Richard Pulcher for Lublin Village President with 39 votes to 20 for Pulcher, while Wilson saw incumbent Aaron Vizier best challenger Dusty Bergman with 34 votes to just 15. Ed Shilts received 42 votes to two write-ins, and all other positions in the township were unanimously in favor of the incumbent officeholders.
