Orioles play Colby Friday at Colby High School

Meeting at Oriole Park Friday, August 16 at 10 a.m., the Stanley-Boyd Orioles faced off Spencer, Spring Valley, and Elk Mound, each team getting a chance to work and reflect. Orioles Head Coach Jeff Koenig shared his thoughts on the Oriole team performance.
“The scrimmage was a good opportunity to see the many things we need to keep working on,” he shared. “I thought our team tackled better and communicated well. We need to work on playing with a better pad level and to keep our feet moving on contact.”
Now headed into the regular season, the Orioles face off with Colby in an away game at Colby High School Friday, August 23 at 7 p.m.
As for individual players, the roster shows eighteen seniors, eleven juniors, seven sophomores, and 20 freshmen.
Seniors Carter Isenberger and Dawson Ewer are quarterback, with junior Porter Goettl quarterback as well.
Among those on the senior end of the roster are offensive linemen Storm Tiry, Andrew Person, Riley Schad, Chezny Harris, Gavin Hatfield, Dylan Seichter, John Hager, and Braden Ciszak. Senior Rudy Kletsch will fill the post of running back, along with fellow seniors Alex Williams, Cole Brenner, Jackson Gindt and Jake LaGrander. Filling the post of wide receiver are seniors Madden Mahr and Caiden Paul.
Following the face-off with Colby this Friday, the Orioles go on to play Cadott Aug. 30 at Stanley Boyd, Fall Creek on Sept. 6 (also at Stanley- Boyd), Mondovi Sept. 13 at Mondovi, Spectrum at Elk River, Minnesota Sept. 20, and Neillsville/Granton at Stanley-Boyd Sept. 27, all games at 7 p.m.
Heading into October, the Orioles are scheduled to face off with the Regis Ramblers at Carson Park on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m., following this up with a Homecoming game vs. Elk Mound at Stanley-Body Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. and game against Durand-Arkansaw at Durand Oct. 18.
