Four organizations to sponsor park boosting event
Stanley parks will soon be receiving a boost, with four organizations sponsoring a fundraiser Saturday Nov. 12, beginning at 1 p.m. in the Community Center. The four sponsoring organizations in turn are the STPR (Rodeo & Trunk Pull), Rod & Gun Club, Lions, and the Sportman’s Club, per Kevin Hendrickson.
All proceeds from the event will be used to ben- efit Chapman, Fandry, and Soo Line Parks, with surrounding park facilities, including new trees to replace the recently felled ash trees.
With food and beverages, a silent auction, paddle wheel prizes and other drawings held throughout the day, it’s a chance at fun for the whole family.
