The Stanley-Boyd girls varsity met the Owen-Withee Blackhawks at home Tuesday, Nov. 26, falling 43-30. Orioles head coach Ryan Wundrow shared thoughts after the game.
“We played a very good team in Owen-Withee which only lost one girl from a sectional final team last year,” he said. “We competed in this game to the very end. I was impressed with our defense and the steps that it has taken over the last year. We did a great job in holding them to only 43 points. We look to build off that success and hope to find some more offense from our defense. We have a busy week with three games and a really good Fall Creek team on Friday.”
The Orioles play Fall Creek Friday, Dec. 6 at Stanley-Boyd. Game start is 7:15 p.m.
