HOMEPLACE Happenings
This week we harvested our pota –
toes we planted in March, it was ex – citing to see how many potatoes we were able to grow, John helped me dig the potatoes out of our growing bags by using a side flap he was able to get his hands in dirt and find our potatoes, John would say here's an – other spud, he really enjoyed himself.
Twice a month at the homeplace we have church services for our resi – dents the second Friday of the month is the Catholic Mass and every third Friday of the month is Lutheran ser – vices, our Catholic Mass is the most attended service but we have resi – dents that go to both services. most grew up going to church every Sun – day and some miss worshipping God.
Last week playing bingo Joann and Bunny won a $1.00 scratch o ticket winning the blackout Joann won $2.00 and Bunny $10.00 they both wanted their winnings in more lottery tickets, so they both lost all their winnings but had fun doing it this week we had a great turn out for bingo most winners take a prize box they know that there is goodies in the boxes, Bernice was our biggest win – ner with two regular games and the blackout, Bunny with 2, June 1,Carol 1, Susan 1 and Monica 1.
We celebrated another birthday this week everyone had chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, a girl after my own heart, we love choco –
