To celebrate the July 4th we played bingo enjoyed freshly squeezed lemonade and cucumber sandwiches, refreshing for a hot summer day. Carol is the latest resident to join our bingo fun she has been very lucky she might have to sit with the crazy lucky bingo ladies. Our winners were June with 1, Monica 1, Bunny 1, Lucille 1 and lucky Carol won 5. She said her candy dish in her apartment will be full for a while.

One of our activities was painting a wooden picture box that someone donated to our art room. Monica and Bunny painted those, Cyndi painted a unicorn of many colors, Lucy (stau) helped work on Anna’s welcome sign, Susan started a paint by number light house and I helped Lilly work on a butterfly. Thank you Dorothy for the donation of crafts everyone enjoyed them!

July 7th was National strawberry sundae day so we treated our residents to sundaes everyone enjoyed them, great for a hot summer day!

We played our regular scheduled bingo this week I think the residents would play every day if they could since we added our prize boxes it has really livened up our residents they are so excited about playing, I love to seeing them smile, winners were Esther with 2, Cyndi 1, Susan 2, Bunny 3 plus the blackout and Joann also won the blackout, she won a scratch ou ticket in her prize bag she was tickled pink that she won $2.00, I cashed it in for her and she chose to take 2 $1.00 scratch ous and try her luck again, good luck Joann!
