HOMEPLACE Happenings
Monday began with a paint pouring project. Residents poured different colored paints on a canvas and tilted the canvas to watch the colors blend together. The general store opened its doors for a special and Marilyn, Denny, Barb, Monica, Sandi, Jackie and Rita scanned the shelves to see what they could buy with their tickets. At lunch, everyone got to enjoy the debut of the Homeplace’s Himalayan Hazards. Ice cream packed with cookies and cream or peanut butter. Everyone ate them slow so to not get attacked with a brain freeze.
On Tuesday Joann worked very meticulously on a challenging puzzle. Tenants and residents also got their weekly grocery lists picked up and delivered to them. Betty celebrated her birthday with a farm themed cake. She loved the cake and everyone singing “happy birthday” to her as well.
Thursday morning Joann, Denny, Esther, Jules and Pat traveled to the general store and discovered some goodies. In the afternoon, ladies and gentlemen joined in some bingo fun! John, Ed, Susan, Barb, Denny, Marilyn, Bunny, Esther, June, Joann, Bernice, Rita, Dorothy and Cindy all played. Sandi did a wonderful job calling bingo.
We welcomed Fr. Felix Friday morning for Catholic services. Friday was happy hour and tenants and residents enjoyed sparkling juice with their dinner.
