Smoke and air pollution from wildfires in Canada and northern Minnesota affected local air quality last week, with local air quality Wednesday evening rated ‘‘Unhealthy” and scored at 196 with particulate matter of 2.5, just below “very unhealthy.” Wildfires continued in the Boundary Waters Area and elsewhere throughout the week, resulting in the orange Sun as shown above the old Rollins feed mill on Broadway Street.
