The Stanley Area Historical Society will hold their ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING on Saturday, January 21. For those interested in participating, a potluck meal will begin at 12 noon. The Annual Meeting will follow at approximately 12:45 pm.
The meeting will begin with a program presented by Mark Fitzsimmons, that will feature plans for the former Stanley Depot site. Mark will share planning that has been done and have available initial architectural drawings for viewing. The presentation will include an opportunity to ask questions and provide input.
Secretarial and treasurer reports will begin the 2022 Annual Membership Meeting. Income and expenditures for 2022 will be highlighted. A 2022 Investments Report will also be covered. Other reports will include the recently completed floor project, a 2022 SAHS Recap, 2023 exhibit work, summer worker for 2023, possible 2023 programs, a digitization update, and the January Newsletter.
The establishment of a Long-Range Planning Committee will be discussed and elections of officers – President, Vice-President and four Board Members will take place.
There will be reports on the November Clark County Historical Society Meeting held in Spencer, the opening of the new Chippewa County Historical Society Building, and a decision on the future format of SAHS meetings.
Members are encouraged to set aside time to attend this important meeting.
