On Monday we prepared for St. Patrick’s Day by decorating wooden St. Patrick signs. Monica, Pat Q, Marilyn, Edith, Sharon, Kathy, Yvonne, Cindy, Lorraine, Esther, Rita, Joann and June painted one. The general store was open Monday afternoon, many residents and tenants entered to either look around or purchase items.

Sandi and Lorraine played 500 Rummy after lunch. Esther, Rita, Joann and June added glitter to their St. Patrick day signs and hung them up on their doors.

On Wednesday, John, Barb, Monica, and Pat Q gathered around a table and played 500 Rummy. Susan pedaled on her bicycle while watching television. Cindy connected with her friends using video chat.

Thursday morning the general store opened up and Esther, Barb, Monica, Carol B, Lorraine and Marge entered to purchase some goodies. Those who got a manicure were Monica, Edith, Les, Ed, Lilly, and Susan. Ed, Les, Susan, Earl, and Pat joined together to play the game “shake loose a memory.” Stories and memories brought up while playing the game were about stacking wood piles and playing musical instruments. Les then practiced playing his bass guitar for several of his friends. At lunch, Loren received his birthday cake and card. Everyone wore birthday hats to help make his day special!

On Friday, Yvonne and Kathy got their nails done. Dorothy, Yvonne, Edith, Yvonne and Kathy had a brownie on ice cream during their snack and chat. Jules celebrated his birthday with a cake, card and a beautiful choir of people singing to him.
