Monday began with our general store opening, Monica, Barb, Bernice, Dennis, Bob and Lorraine purchased items. In the afternoon, Kathy, Yvonne, Monica, Pat, Loren and Barb made adorable cotton ball snowmen decorated with stick arms, cloth scarves and button eyes and noses.
Tuesday, Della zoom chatted with family and played 500 Rummy with staff. Tuesday was also grocery day and we had groceries ordered and delivered to anyone who was in need of something.
On the warm Wednesday wed had, Kim and Teena went outdoors to enjoy the sunshine and to feed the birds and squirrels. Ed, Anna and Les played the game, “Shake Loose a Memory.” They had a blast sharing stories of when they were younger. Several of us took down our Christmas trees and decorations and put them in storage until next year.
Thursday morning, the general store was open for business again and Monica, Jules, Marge, and Ed made purchases. Manicures were given to Ed, Anna, Les, Lillian, Susan and Sandi. In the afternoon, Ed, Jules, Monica, Susan, Cindy, Bernie, Bernice, Bunny, Pat, Barb, Della and Anna played bingo. Residents got to choose their choice of soda after winning.
On Friday, Yvonne got out her crayons to color up a storm. Kathy sat with her and read through new magazines. Les watched western television shows and Pat and Monica took down the final tree.
