On Monday, our general store was open, Lorraine, Joann, Esther, Al, Marge, Rosie and Kathy shopped around. Barb got her exercise in when she went for a walk on Monday.
Tuesday Yvonne and Kathy L worked on putting puzzles together in the morning. In the afternoon, Kathy L and Rosie decorated caregiver appreciation cards. Rosie and Della video chatted with family.
Wednesday morning Rosie helped feed the birds by filling up their feeders with seed. In the afternoon, to honor Veterans Day, we had cookies, coffee and had conversations about our personal experiences with wars or if we had relatives that were veterans and shared their stories. Esther, Lorraine, June, Joann, Barb, Wayne, Pat, Bernice, and Bernie and John had wonderful stories about our very local nation’s heroes. Kathy L, Carol B, and Rosie sang several patriotic songs like “This Land is Our Land,” “God Bless America,” and “The Star Spangled Banner” to honor the special day.
Thursday morning, our day kicked off with going to the general store after breakfast. Esther, June, Lorraine, Nick, and Carol went shopping at our little general store. Those that received manicures were Lorraine, Nick, Kathy L, and Carol S. After lunch we played bingo. June, Esther, Joann, Lorraine, Al, Barb, Pat, Della, Monica, Bernie and Bernice all played and had a blast.
Friday morning, Rosie, Yvonne and Kathy raised their heart rates playing a fun game of balloon volleyball. It was all laughs and smiles. During the day, many residents and tenants passed out thank you cards for Caregiver Appreciation Day. Before supper, residents and tenants got a chance to indulge with booze and tattoos. They received their choice of beer, soda, or sparkling wine along with a temporary tattoo stamped on them!
