Monday brought June, Sandi, Al, Marge and Monica went shopping at our general store. To get into the Halloween spirit and to decorate the common areas for Halloween, Les, Anna, Rosie, and Kathy L decorated Styrofoam hanging ghosts. We hung them from the ceiling for a spooky effect.
Tuesday all residents and tenants who ordered groceries had them delivered to them. In the morning we had Monica, Della, Becky, and Esther play a close game of 500 Rummy. In the afternoon, Cliff and Les helped paint faces on two pumpkins. They painted and decorated one to look like a princess and gave her a tiara and the other they gave a hard hat to make it look like a frustrated foreman.
Wednesday morning, Kathy H, Kathy L, Yvonne, and Rosie decorated mini pumpkins to place on the tables. In the afternoon, Monica, Bernie, Barb, Gloria, Pat and Bernice sat down to play several rounds of Pokeno. Rosie, Les and Ed went for a walk around the building and peeked at the snow outside.
On Thursday morning, Sandi, Lorraine and Monica shopped at the store to see what they could find. Lorraine and Sandi received manicures in the morning as well. In the afternoon, Yvonne, Rosie and Kathy L played a game of “Shake Loose a Memory.” Les, Cliff, Anna, Lilly, Alice, and Ed also played and had a lot of fun sharing old memories and laughs. Margery and Loren had manicures after lunch. We also had a Halloween themed Wheel of Fortune game and Sandi, June, Joann, Esther, Lorraine and Gloria challenged their brains to solve the puzzles.
