On Monday we had several of our folks come check out the general store. Lorraine, Gloria, Al, Marge, Monica and Becky all purchased items for themselves. In the afternoon, we put our artistic skills to the test. Barb, Gloria, Monica, Becky, Lorraine, Esther, June and Rita drew beautiful sunflowers with chalk pastels. The ladies had a great time experimenting with blending the chalk colors together to make softer colors. All the drawings turned out wonderful.

On Tuesday, Becky, Les and Monica took a day trip out to Otter Lake. It was the perfect day to catch some sunshine and fish. They enjoyed freshly grilled brats for lunch by the water. Les and Monica went for a ride in a fishing boat to cool off. Becky and Monica also did a little fishing. Monica reeled in two good size crappies. She posed for a picture with it and even got to give it a kiss it before she released it back into the water.

On Wednesday, all residents and tenants who ordered groceries had them purchased and delivered for them. Cliff and Jerry spent some time working with PVC pipes and fittings. Sandi worked on her paint by number and Esther spent some time lounging outside and feeding the bunny rabbit that spends a lot of time in the back patio.

June, Rita, Sandi, Becky, Esther, Gloria, Monica and Carol B started out their Thursday morning with a trip to the general store. After that, Lorraine, Sandi, Barb, Monica, Helen, Lilly, Carol B, Rosie, Kathy L, and David received manicures. In the afternoon, Kathy L, Carol S, and Rosie knocked down a bunch of pins while indoor bowling. Bingo was also held after lunch. Monica, Barb, Bernie, Bernice, Gloria, Al, Marge, Della, Lorraine, Rita, Sandi, Joann, Esther and June attended bingo. Anna sang many folk songs such as “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” and “You are My Sunshine.”

On Friday, Monica was our card queen as she blew everyone away at 500 Rummy! Not bad for a first time player! Kathy L, Rosie, Cliff, Les and Rosie filled up the bird feeders outside and admired how big our peppers are getting. They are almost ready to eat! We have been enjoying our tomatoes from our planters.
