Monday, we continued to work on painting pallets. Esther, Becky, and Sandi rolled up their sleeves and painted and stained while Les and Mike reclined in the shade to “supervise” the painters. Manicures were given to Kathy H, Kathy L, Carol S, Rosie and Bill. We had two birthdays to celebrate. John and Kristine shared a birthday Monday and they each received a card and cake. Kristine had cupcakes and John had a fun cake that was decorated like a campsite. Mike jumped on his concertina to play “Happy Birthday” to them and continued to play while everyone finished their meal.

Tuesday started off with a lighthearted game of 500 rummy. The ladies who played were: Sandi, Becky, Della, Lorraine and Esther. Esther was our card queen for the second week in a row! She posed for a picture wearing the crown. The rainy weather kept us inside and Barb helped staff water the indoor plants. We even learned we have a bush lilly that is producing beautiful flowers right now. Cliff got a manicure and relaxed in the back patio after it had rained.

On Wednesday Becky worked on setting up fishing poles for when we go fishing next week. Rosie picked and delivered beautiful white hydrangeas to each floor. Lorraine enjoyed zoom chatting with her family in the evening.

Many people checked out our general store and purchased items on Thursday morning. Sandi, Becky, Esther, Lorraine, Les, and Della had a wonderful time shopping. In the afternoon, Kathy H, Kathy L, Yvonne, and Rosie worked on and completed several puzzles together. Rosie zoom chatted with much of her family in the afternoon as well. Sandi, Becky, Rita, Lorraine and Esther gathered to play ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ All the ladies had fun solving the puzzles.

Friday, Sandi finished painting our pallet to look like an old, weathered flag. Residents got together with staff to play balloon volleyball and had a blast working up a sweat. Bill was excited to Zoom chat with his wife after lunch and Carol B picked out several books from our library to read over the weekend.
