Voting to take the next step as it relates to a shelter on the depot site, the Stanley City Council chose to move toward a final draft plan for the building to be built near the depot site in Soo Line Park. Located outside the rail right of way, it would use components from the old depot such as sandstone window ledges, thereby evoking the past while building in the present. The earliest construction would begin on the seasonal shelter is later this year, after the spring thaw.
