Do you live in U.S. House District 7 and have something you want Tom Tiffany to know?
A representative from Tiffany’s office will be present for a listening session Monday March 24 at 10 a.m. at the Gilman Village Hall. State Assembly District 68 Representative Rob Summerfield will also be present.
District 7 includes the city of Stanley, Delmar, Town of Thorp, city of Thorp, Worden, and Butler, as well as points north and east. State Assembly District 68 includes Colburn, Taft, Lublin and Roosevelt as to the immediate area.
In for news from U.S. House District 3, meanwhile, Rebecca Cooke has announced her campaign to unseat Representative Derrick Van Orden. Raised on an Eau Claire dairy farm, Cooke announced her candidacy March 11 at a Chippewa County dairy farm.
“We need one of us in Congress – working-class folks who know what our families are going through, how to balance a budget, and spend within their means,” she said. “I will take on the monopolies that have robbed our families of their farming heritage and decimated our rural economies. I’m focused on results and don’t care who gets the credit, as long as things get done.”
Van Orden was last elected to represent House District 3 last November after previously unseating Ron Kind. Cooke lost the November election to Van Orden by approximately 11,000 votes. The next election for House District 3 arrives in November 2026. District 3 currently includes Boyd, Edson, Wilson, Sigel, Cadott, and Goetz.
