Judith Rae Booth, 78 of Stanley, died on Monday, February 8, 2021 at her son’s home under the care of Hope Hospice. She was born on February 13, 1942 in Ireton, Iowa the daughter Esther (Rohlfs) Swenson. Her family moved to Wisconsin in 1948 and Judy graduated from Cumberland High in 1960. She then moved to Amery in 1961 to work at Fabri-Tek of Amery.

Judy married Roger Booth of Amery at the Little Brown Church of the Valley in Nashua, Iowa on November 14, 1964. The couple moved to Madison in 1967 and then to Stanley in1976. Judy worked at Cray Research, SGI and Celestica until 2001. She also worked for the D.R. Moon Public Library in Stanley for many years. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, Jeopardy, the Antique Roadshow, reading, flowers and having coffee with friends whenever possible. For Judy, Scrabble became almost an addiction after moving into her apartment.

She is survived by two sons, David (Kelly) Booth of Owen and Roger (Kathy) Booth of Two Rivers, her grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Colton, Tyler, Devan, Cassie, Ben, Cal, Hannah, Holly and Heidi, her brother in law, Duane (Bonnie) Booth of Stanley, her best friend Renata and many other cousins and relatives. Judy is preceded in death by her husband Roger (1983), her daughter, Lori (2002), her mother, Esther (2013), her in laws, Pauline and Donald Booth.

A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, February 20th at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley with Rev. David Clements officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Oakland Cemetery- Stanley in the spring. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on the 20th.
