The Stanley Police Department recently received a report of two young children that were found unsupervised and distressed, wandering in a field. Sami Caswell took it upon herself to comfort the children and supervise them for over an hour while law enforcement worked to determine who the children were and where their parent(s)/guardian(s) were. Sami’s presence was calming for the children, and she went above and beyond to ensure they remained preoccupied and comforted during a time that was likely very confusing and scary for them. In addition, there was a language barrier, so communication was exceedingly more challenging while actively trying to gather critical information. The Stanley Police Department is very grateful for Sami. Her graciousness and caring were exactly what those children needed at that very time and they are so extremely thankful she was willing and able to assist with a situation that could have had such a different outcome had it not been for her presence. Thanks Sami!
