The Emer-Quinn Knights of Columbus participated in a program called Aid and Support After Pregnancy (ASAP). This program is a call to Knights to increase financial support to pregnancy resource centers that give direct assistance to new mothers and babies born and unborn. Last year, nationwide, the Knights donated more than $5 million to these resource centers.
The local Knights collected at Hansen’s IGA and at all the masses on the weekend of November 1 and 2. People who donated money were given Life Savers to support the ASAP program. It was a program that was very successful. The council gave away 400 rolls and donated $1,500 to Apple Pregnancy Support Center in Eau Claire. An additional $300 will be donated by the Supreme Council based on the money collected locally. The council would like to thank Hansen’s IGA for allowing the council to run this drive at their store and we would like to thank all the generous people that donated money.
