The drive was extraordinarily successful. The best year ever! One reason for this success was because of Hansen’s IGA allowing the KCs to collect the donations in front of their business for the weekend of April 23-25. Thank you very much Alex, and Hansen’s IGA. The second reason for its success was because of the generous people in the Stanley area. Thank you, citizens, for your hearts of charity to help people in need. The total amount collected was $2,921.47. Expenses were $122.13 and the State Council takes $699.84 (25%) of it to be used to help People with Intellectual Disabilities in the state of Wisconsin. The council encourages organizations that work with People with Intellectual Disabilities to apply for these state council funds. Contact Jerry Dirkes (715-644-5426) for information and grant application.
That leaves $2,099.50 for our council to distribute to help People with Intellectual Disabilities in this area. The council decided at their April meeting to give $1,050.00 each to Stanley- Boyd Special Education Department and the Cadott Special Education Department.
