LaGrander’s Hillside Dairy prepares for new addition

With the Worden Town Board approving the building permit for LaGrander’s Hillside Dairy at the February 13th meeting, LaGrand-er’s Hillside Dairy is scheduled to start construction on a new addition, east of the current cheese store, in Spring of 2023. With a finish date of three months, the approximately 3300 sq ft. building is sure to be a welcome addition. “We’ve outgrown our space and we need to make a few updates,” explains Mandi LaGrander. Overseen by Marawood Construction, the plans include an all-new cheese store, meeting rooms, conference rooms, offices and new employee facilities, including bathrooms, locker rooms, and break rooms. LaGrander continues, “We are investing quite a bit in the employee facilities. You know, we’ve just outgrown our space for our employees, and we’d like to give something back to them. They put in a lot of time here and I feel like to have really nice facilities for them is a nice little perk. I think that they will love it. It’s much needed.” Hoping to be completed by midsummer, they don’t expect to need to close the cheese store but are prepared to use online orders or pick up orders if the necessity arises. Concerned for the customers, LaGrander reassures, “Bear with us through this construction. I know it will be an inconvenience for people but ultimately, it’s a short amount of time and we will get back up and running as quick as we can.” LaGrander’s Hillside Dairy would like to thank their employees and staff that are working hard to keep everything running smoothly.
