Stanley American Legion Victory Post 112 Commander Bruce Wozniak recently swore in new members Ben Niedzwiecki and Brandon Heifner.

“The emblem of the American Legion is the emblem of Americanism. Americanism is unity of love, singleness of allegiance, practicality of purpose, care of the distressed, the education of children, all directed to the promotion of a common good.

It is that spirit of patriotism which shall ever preserve our land from stagnation, which is the death of peoples.

As Legionnaires, we preach and teach the spirit of patriotism throughout the republic. We must be ever mindful of our obligations as citizens, striving constantly to redeem those obligations.

In the emblem of the American Legion there is great prophecy. It is the promise of the defenders of the republic, pledging the fullest good for the betterment of all” said Wozniak.

The Stanley Legion is active in the betterment of their community, being involved in such events as Trunk or Treat. It was at this event that Niedzwiecki and Heifner attended with their families and were recruited to join their comrades in Post 112.

If you or someone you love were privileged to serve your country, we welcome you to join the camaraderie with your fellow Veteran’s in the American Legion. Free membership for the 1st year of new members.

Monthly Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of the month, 6:30pm, at 401 N Broadway in Stanley, Wisconsin.
