He was predeceased by his parents ; sister Gail Gerrits; brothers Kenneth and Gerald; granddaughter Alyssa Gerrits; and daughter Stephanie Bartlett earlier this year. Graveside service with full military honors will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Edson Union Cemetery. Plombon Funeral Service of Stanley is assisting the family with arrangements.

Leona R. Klick, age 90, of Thorp, WI, passed away at Traditions Assisted Living in Thorp, on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Private family funeral services were held and burial followed in New St. Hedwig's Catholic Cemetery.
Leona Regina Stroinski was born on October 12, 1929 in Thorp, WI, the daughter of Theodore & Ann (Wilcenski) Stroinski, Sr. She was raised on the family farm, received her education at area schools, and graduated from Thorp High School in 1947. Leona was united in marriage to Ervin J. Klick on September 9, 1950 at St. Hedwig's Chapel in Thorp with Rev. Joseph Walijewski officiating. Over the years, Leona worked for Thorp Finance, Pabich's Grocery Store, and finally at Thorp Telephone Co. until her retirement in 1992. After her retirement, Leona continued to live in her home on East Main Street in Thorp until moving to Traditions Assisted Living in 2015.
