The D.R. Moon Memorial Library has taken another step forwards towards its building project expansion and restoration goals this week. On Tuesday, September 20th, the library board and director interviewed two Wisconsin-based architecture firms, Dimension IV and River Architects. The firms were selected for an interview based on proposals sent in response to the library’s RFQ published earlier in the summer. The director of the IFLS library system, John Thompson, was also present to interview the candidate firms. The library board expects to make a decision sometime in the next few weeks.

As the library moves forward with the building project, everyone in the Stanley community is invited to celebrate! Mark your calendars for a Pizza Party for a Cause on Saturday, October 1st, from 12PM-4PM at the library. Featuring fire-baked pizza, silent auction, art sale, games, and more, the event is an effort of the family of Peggy Dalberto to honor Peggy’s memory in collaboration with the Friends of the Library. Come enjoy delicious pizza and a fun afternoon for a good cause! All proceeds from the event will benefit the library building project.
