News from the D.R. Moon Memorial Library

Our current library was built in the “Golden Age of Libraries,” thanks to the generosity of Sally Moon, to honor her late husband. That wonderful gift has served our community well for over 100 years. Andrew Carnegie’s thinking, when he began donating libraries across the country, is still true, “A library outranks any other thing a community can do to benefit people.” -Dave Jankoski

The sky cleared beautifully just in time for our Building Connections event last Saturday, September 30th! It was great to see everyone interested in experiencing and learning more about the history, present, and future of our community and library. Thank you to all our volunteers and our great history character actors! Special thanks to Betty Plombon and the Stanley Area Historical Society for all the historical information, articles, and artifacts shared!
