Pictured above at right is Lion David Winkler receiving the Birch-Strum Fellowship Award at the Stanley Lions June 11 meeting. Presenting the Award is District Governor Barbara Dulmes of Cadott. The award is in recognition of his commitment to serving people in the community and beyond and honors those who exemplify underlying dedication and commitment to humanitarian works. Locally Winkler organizes the deer hide collection, chairs the Lions Christmas Raffle and he oversees bingo at the Watermelon Festival. In addition he is a regular volunteer for many projects.
