A local Stanley business is celebrating 20 years in operation. Winger Construction, owned by Stanley-Boyd Class of 1997 grad – uate Joe Winger started out small, in Aug. of 2002 "I started out on my own with one employ – ee, one truck, and one trailer" Winger shared recently. Now with two trucks and around five trailers plus four employees, Winger Construction builds homes as close as a mile away and as far as two and a half hours. Much of Winger's business today comes from word of mouth and reputation.
Primarily a home builder, the Stan – ley-Boyd graduate and his company have done residential, light commercial, light ag, detached garages, and storage sheds among different projects over two decades. Winger said he attended Chippewa Valley Technical College out of high school and then worked for three contractors prior to starting on his own. These days Winger says the compa – ny does approximately four to six complete homes each year, including ranch and two story designs. "We take people's dreams on paper and make it a reality," he said. "We go the extra mile to make sure people are happy." Winger can be reached at 715-456-5488 or via email at [email protected] A web –
site is planned, but not up yet.
