Four local organizations are teaming up this November 13 to raise money for area parks at the new Community Center. Starting at 4 p.m. and running later with a raffle drawing at 5 p.m. for tickets sold at local businesses over the last several months, the City Parks Raffle Fundraiser is the place to be this weekend.
“It’s all for the parks,” Kevin Hendrickson said of the event coming up this Saturday.
With four organizations (The Rod and Gun Club, Sportsman’s Club, Stanley Lions, along with the Stanley Rodeo and Truck Pull Organization) teaming up to help celebrate the 100-years anniversary of the Rod and Gun Club’s founding locally, Saturday’s get together will have paddle raffles along with a silent auction and baskets.
Food and beverages will also be served Saturday November 13.
The new Stanley Community Center at Chapman Park will be the site of a fundraiser November 13 to benefit local parks, with action starting at 4 p.m.
