Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) students received over 400 scholarships totaling nearly $300,000 during the 2020-21 academic year. Often donors create scholarship funds to memorialize a loved one, or support a cause, but it all comes down to making a difference in the lives of the recipients. Recipients and donors are annually recognized at a scholarship reception each spring, which was cancelled this year due to the pandemic.
Local students receiving scholarships included: From Stanley: Holly Schesel, Charter Bank Investing In Our Community Scholarship and Prevea Health Scholarship; Juliana Lahner, 3M Map Scholarship and Malisko Engineering/Eau Claire – A& E Technology Scholarship; Pamela Endvick, Ida B. Fischer Business-Accounting Scholarship and Northwestern Bank Endowment Scholarship; Ronald Wright, WJR Endowment Scholarship.
From Thorp: Brooke Webb, Arendt Scholarship; Diana Copus, Conagra Foods Next Generation Scholarship and Francis C. Sorrentino Memorial Scholarship; McKenna LaCanne, Arnold & Lois Domer Foundation Scholarship and Friends of Respiratory Therapy Scholarship – First-Year Student.
