A long-time area business has a new address! Stanley Area Dance, under the tutelage of Cindy Treffert, has offered dance classes for area youth since 1991. Previously, classes for Stanley Area Dance were held upstairs in the historic Stanley City Hall and Police Department. With the sale of the old city hall by the City, the longtime area business is now located at 200 North Broadway on the corner with Second Avenue, in Stanley.

Among its current offerings are beginning ballet instruction, youth and adult tap classes. Stanley Area Dance also sponsors occasional ballroom dance instruction. This new location is also an ideal venue for other area instructors who are looking for a place to conduct classes including but not limited to music, arts, and fitness. The building offers a large room, two bathrooms and a kitchenette for events such as weddings and baby showers, birthdays, or small family gatherings.
