Students at St. Joseph's School in Boyd got out May 5 to do some planting. "We wanted to get out and do activities on Earth Day," Principal Russ Kiviniemi said. "But it wasn't very nice out on Earth Day.:

Older students and the FFA helped facilitate activities for the younger grades May 5 in a make up for Earth Day, when the weather wasn't so great. Grades K through 5 were led in a series of stations from the school arboretum, to making pinecone bird feeders, and even a scavenger hunt with tree planting on school land.
