A motorcycle crash in the town of Tilden has resulted in a fatality after the driver failed to negotiate a curve on County Highway Q located 1/10th of a mile south of 100th Avenue, leaving the roadway and crashing. The motorcycle’s driver and sole occupant, 58-year-old Gary Woolsey, was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
Taking place Thursday April 21 at 6:34 p.m., responding agencies included the Chippewa County Sheriu's Ovce, Tilden Fire, Tilden First Responders, the Boyd-Edson-Delmar ambu- lance service and fire department, Chippewa Falls ambulance, and Mayo One. Life saving measures were attempted and provided, with the motorcycle driver passing away from his injuries, having been ejected from the motorcycle during the crash.
