The Orioles Cross Country Team competed in Altoona on Thursday September 17. The boys team placed 3rd out of 7 teams. Freshman Lukas Milas placed 5th with a time of 18:45 to lead the boys. 'Altoona and McDonell have some really good boys teams. I like where we are with this young group of guys. The boys are running good times for themselves.' Coach Mahr evaluated.

The girls did not have a full team and so did not receive a team place, but were led by Sophomore Janelle Schesel placing 9th with a time of 22:52. 'Janelle is on target to earn all-conference honors after being honorable mention all-conference last season. That is my goal for her and I think she will make it.' Coach Mahr said.

The Orioles competed at the Cadott Invitational Tuesday. Milas took 11th overall and was the top freshman finisher. Zach Haas, also a freshman, finished a strong 21st, while Travis Christoph took 24th, Troy Trevino was 40th and Dale Styles was 55th.

Schesel had an impressive race in the girls run, taking fifth overall.
