The Village of Lublin Board met Aug. 4 at the Village Hall, with recently appointed Chairman Christine Nowak presiding over the meeting following the resignation of former Chairman Randy Madlon. Madlon resigned after moving out of the Village of Lublin. Nowak has since taken over as chairman and presided over the Aug. 4 meeting.
During the meeting, Village Clerk Rita Niznik took the opportunity to recognize those who organized the 50/50 raffle during Lublin Days. The proceeds were donated to the village for use at the park.
Niznik thanked those involved, noting, “Him and his family just collected this and did this on their own and donated the money to the park.”
Niznik also expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to the village’s fireworks fund. Madlon resigned after moving out of the Village of Lublin. Now has since taken over as chairman and presided over the Aug. 4 meeting.
“So we're good going into next year,” she added.
The next Village of Lublin Board meeting is scheduled for Sept. 8 at the Village Hall.
