Kevin Hagmann sees new job as community service

There’s a new cop at Boyd, and his name is Kevin Hagmann. Approved for hire at a special board meeting on Wednesday March 24, Officer Hagmann started his Boyd duties at the beginning of April, having previously been hired at Cadott and then Stanley. Currently, he works all three communities.

“Cadott is my primary,” Hagmann said of patrol duties, whereas for Stanley he said that he works “a couple shifts a month.” Approved as part-time with 30 hours at Boyd, Hagmann is an Eau Claire native and former Marine, graduating from Eau Claire North before going on to spend four years with the Marines and then obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from UWEau Claire, Class of 2019. Hagmann said he views police work as a form of service.

“I guess I always wanted to find ways to continue serving after I got out of the military,” he said last week, saying the job was a community service.

Now in the area, expect to see Officer Hagmann on local Boyd streets, along with those in Stanley and Cadott from time to time. Welcome to the community!
